X-ray images and Visage
During this rotation you will be viewing a significant number of x-rays. You can access these through the iCentra imaging component, but it is quicker and easier to view them through a separate program called Visage. This section will show you how to gain access to the images in Visage that are taken at our clinic. Once you have been granted authorization, locate and double-click on the Visage shortcut icon on the desktop.
The first thing to do is let the Visage application know how to search for the images you’re interested in. If you are seeing patients at the Intermountain Park City Mountain Medical Clinic, click on the Accession Number field and enter “73091xr*“.
If instead you are seeing patients at the Intermountain Canyons Village Medical Clinic, click on the Institution Name field and enter “MG Canyons Clinic“.
After you have entered your clinic information, the next step is to let the program know that you are only interested in images taken the day you are working. Check the box above the Study Date drop-down menu to activate this section, and then click on Today.
In order to avoid repeating these steps every time you login, you can make your settings a Preset. Click on the “+ New Preset” box at the upper left.
This brings up a pop-up dialogue where you can type in an easily-remembered name for your Preset, such as “PC Ski Clinic” or “Canyons“. Don’t forget to click the Auto Query and Default boxes if you’d like Visage to automatically search for today’s images from your default clinic when you load the program.
Now your Preset should show up in the top left on the program’s launch screen. Should you ever lose these settings during the course of your stay, you can simply click that Preset to load the images at your location again.
